World Bosses

While location bosses have to be started by someone and are usually restricted to clan and guild of the originator World bosses are started by Viking Clan itself and can be accessed by any player.

Launches

Normally two out of the five are active at any given time. However if a World boss is killed early then the game continues with just one until the next scheduled World boss is launched. Once a boss has been launched the Viking Clan community has a maximum of 14 days (it used to be 8 days) to kill it off. For a player who's level is high enough to have unlocked all 10 items, attacking just once a day will not be enough to get the higher level items (it takes an average of 1.78 attacks per day over the 14 days)

World bosses are released 14 days apart in 2 looping sequences:

	Naglfar follows Phoenix
and
	Freyja follows Nidhogg the Dragon which follows Legion of Tyr

Atacks

When you do your first normal 5 stamina attack on a World Boss you get a XP bonus of 5% of level XP. For each attack after the first you get bonus XP, and bonus cash as well, which rises with every additional attack.

Normal Play

World bosses may be attacked every 4 hours using up to 5 stamina. They do not give random drops. Awards are available only if the boss is killed. Drops are dependant on your level and the number of times you attacked the boss during the event. Each time a World boss respawns after it is killed it increases a level and becomes just that bit more difficult to kill.

End Game

If during the final 24 hours it looks like the boss may not be defeated in time then special measures come into play. The timer is reduced from every 4 hours to just 1 minute and the Stamina slider appears meaning you can use up to 20 stamina per attack (which counts as 4 attacks). If the boss has not be defeated in time no additional awards are given.
